As the old Spanish Proverb says, “From the Stomach, Comes the Dance” – Matadora Tapas Bar is an expression of the vibrant flavours & spirit of Spain, that will transport you to the lively streets of Spain through an incredible selection of sharing plates & spectacular wines.

The Kitchen
From beloved Patatas Bravas to spectacular Lobster Paella, Executive Chef Alistair Gilroy’s menu is a celebration of vibrant Spanish flavours.
Inspired by his years spent training in Michelin-Starred restaurants in San Sebastián, Spain, Chef Alistair has curated an elevated, yet playful menu that is meant to be shared with incredible company!
Soak up the sights & sounds of the dynamic open-kitchen as you enjoy an array of signature Pintxo, Tapas and large sharing plates – unlike anything Halifax has seen before.
The Bar
Enjoy an escape to Paraíso as you unwind in Matadora’s energetic dining room, complete with colourful, handpainted murals and an expansive bar that showcases handcrafted cocktails, from Gin Tonica to Sangria.
The floor-to-ceiling wine cellars display an exclusive selection of Spanish Vino, Sherry & Vermouth, with more than 30 show-stopping wines to sip & savour by the glass!
